NBA DFS: Russell Westbrook and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Feb. 12, 2021

Some of the best talent in the NBA is set to take the court Friday as part of the 11-game prime-time NBA DFS slates. LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers seek their fifth straight home victory when they take on Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies at 10 p.m. ET. Damian Lillard, the NBA‘s third-leading scorer at 29.4 points per game, leads the Portland Trail Blazers against Collin Sexton and the Cleveland Cavaliers at 10 p.m. ET.

Are James or Lillard in prime spots to dominate? Or are the younger Morant and Sexton facing better NBA DFS matchups? No matter how you formulate your NBA DFS picks, it pays to know how the experts are thinking. Before locking in any daily Fantasy basketball lineups for Friday’s action, be sure to see the NBA DFS advice, player rankings and top daily Fantasy basketball lineups from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Friday, Feb. 12 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Friday, Feb. 12

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for his Friday NBA daily Fantasy lineups is Wizards guard Russell Westbrook at $9,000 on DraftKings and $8,700 on FanDuel. Westbrook is going for 19.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 8.9 assists this season. That includes a 23-point, six-rebound, seven-assist effort Wednesday against the Raptors

Westbrook has been statistically solid in his first season in Washington, delivering 1.9 rebounds over his career mark and also trending slightly over his assist numbers. Westbrook also seems to enjoy shooting at Capital One Arena, as he is delivering 23.6 points per game at home in 2020-21. Westbrook and the Wizards get the Knicks on Friday, and with Bradley Beal (rest) set to sit this one out, Westbrook needs to be in your NBA DFS lineups.

Part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Pistons center Isaiah Stewart at $3,100 on DraftKings and $3,600 on FanDuel. Stewart is averaging 5.5 points and 5.3 rebounds in his rookie season. The Washington product is coming off a 17-point, seven-rebound effort Thursday against the Pacers.

Stewart earned his first career start Thursday due to Mason Plumlee’s due to right elbow bursitis, and the rookie embraced the chance to post his best output of the season. Stewart’s efforts earned over 33 NBA DFS points on DraftKings, and he is in line for a similar performance Friday against the Celtics. The Celtics rank 21st against Stewart’s position, and combined with Stewart’s low price point makes McClure recommend the rookie in all NBA DFS formats.

How to set NBA DFS lineups for Friday, Feb. 12

McClure is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Friday because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.
