NBA DFS: Dejounte Murray and top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy basketball picks for Feb. 24, 2021

The 2020-21 NBA season continues on Wednesday with nine games and that means there will be a lot of options in the NBA DFS player pool. Games with high totals are always targeted heavily by NBA daily Fantasy players and that should make Warriors and Pacers players popular selections for Wednesday. William Hill Sportsbook lists that as the only total above 230 (230.5) currently, which will likely make Stephen Curry, Kelly Oubre Jr., Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis heavily rostered in NBA DFS lineups.

However, Curry and Sabonis in particular are among the most expensive players at their respective positions for Wednesday’s action and affording high upside options like that requires that you find value further down the NBA DFS price list. So which role players are in a position to step into more meaningful minutes and which NBA injuries do you need to be aware of? Before locking in any NBA DFS picks for Wednesday, be sure to see the NBA DFS advice, player rankings and top daily Fantasy basketball lineups from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Wednesday, Feb. 24 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Wednesday, Feb. 24

One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for his Wednesday NBA daily Fantasy lineups is Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen at $7,700 on DraftKings and $7,600 on FanDuel. The former Nets center landed in Cleveland as part of the four-team trade that sent James Harden to Brooklyn and he’s continued to prove himself as one of the brightest young big men in the league since the acquisition.

Allen is averaging 14.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game since joining the Cavaliers and is shooting 65.4 percent from the floor. The 22-year-old is working on a streak of five consecutive double-doubles and has blocked seven shots in his last two games alone. Against a struggling Rockets squad that is without Christian Wood (ankle), Allen has serious upside on Wednesday night.

Part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Spurs guard Dejounte Murray at $7,400 on DraftKings and $7,500 on FanDuel. The Spurs are coming off a 10-day layoff where they had four games postponed because of COVID-19 protocols and are expected to be without six players on Wednesday, but Murray should be in the lineup.

When we last saw the 24-year-old, he had 26 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and two steals without a turnover in a win over the Hornets. He’s now averaging 15.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game this season and he’ll likely have to carry a heavy scoring load with DeMar DeRozan and Derrick White both likely to be held out of action against the Thunder on Wednesday.

How to set NBA DFS lineups for Wednesday, Feb. 24

McClure is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Wednesday because of a dream matchup. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.
