MLB DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel daily Fantasy baseball picks, strategy for May 30, 2021

All 32 Major League Baseball teams are in action on Sunday, stocking the MLB DFS player pool to the absolute brim. Indians starting pitcher Aaron Civale aims to equal the MLB lead with his eighth victory when Cleveland takes on Steven Matz and the Toronto Blue Jays at 4:40 p.m. ET. Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw is also aiming for his eighth victory this season when Los Angeles takes on 5-0 Kevin Gausman and the San Francisco Giants at 4:10 p.m. ET.

Do you splurge on Civale or Kershaw as part of your MLB DFS strategy for Sunday? And what position players should you consider for daily Fantasy baseball tournaments, 50-50 and cash games on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel? Before finalizing any MLB DFS picks for Sunday, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won almost $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as a top MLB DFS player, McClure’s proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Saturday, McClure recommended Mets starting pitcher Taijuan Walker as one of his top picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. The result: Walker allowed just two hits over five shutout innings and struck out eight to produce over 29 points on DraftKings and 45 points on FanDuel. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on the way to a profitable day.

McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for May 30, 2021

One of McClure’s top MLB DFS picks for Sunday is Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge at $5,800 on DraftKings and $3,600 on FanDuel. Judge is hitting .302 with 13 homers and 29 RBIs so far this season. Judge went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored on Friday against the Tigers.

Judge is back to his slugging ways in 2021, projected to hit 41 homers and drive in 90 runs this season. Judge has torched the Tigers in 2021, homering twice, doubling twice more, driving in eight runs and scoring seven times in five games against Detroit. Judge smacked a solo homer against Detroit starter Tarik Skubal earlier this season, and McClure expects the same kind of MLB DFS output from Judge on Sunday.

Part of McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy includes Twins second baseman Jorge Polanco at $4,500 on DraftKings and $2,100 on FanDuel. Polanco is hitting .236 with four homers and 19 RBIs this season. Polanco doubled and scored twice on Saturday against the Royals.

Polanco has been a doubles machine in 2021, getting to second base 11 times so far — including twice in the past two days against the Royals. Polanco has three doubles in four games against Kansas City this season, and has scored four times in that same span. McClure sees that trend continuing on Sunday, and recommends Polanco in all MLB DFS formats.

How to set your MLB DFS lineups for May 30, 2021
